Parochial Vicar
It is with great joy and gratitude that I introduce myself as the Parochial Vicar of this vibrant parish. I am Fr. Jibin Jose CMI, a member of the Congregation of Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). In 2007, I began my journey with the CMI congregation, and in 2021, I was ordained to the priesthood. Following my ordination, I pursued a Spanish language course and subsequently embarked on missionary work in the Diocese of Riobamba, Ecuador, where I served as Parochial Vicar at St. John the Baptist Church in Trigloma. After two years of ministry in Ecuador, I received an invitation from the Diocese of Sacramento, and I am now privileged to serve at St. John the Baptist Parish in Folsom.
The seeds of my priestly vocation were nurtured within my family and further enriched through the encouragement and support of relatives, parishioners, and the religious priests in my extended family. My priestly and religious formation took approximately 15 years, including my studies in philosophy at Darsana Institute of Philosophy, Wardha and theology at Jnana Deepa Pontifical Institute, Pune. I completed both my religious and secular education in India.
As I continue my journey of formation and ministry with this community, I look forward to offering the best of myself for your spiritual growth and sanctification. It is my hope and prayer that, together, we may grow in faith, love, and service.
